Century-year-old couple Don and Hazel Comgram, 100 and 96, have called their Tewantin residence home for the last 35 years, but after a good inning at the property, they have decided to sell up.

The original owner who built the house in the 70s, John Pearcy, was the local bookmaker and president of Tewantin-Noosa Golf Course and good friends with golfer Jack Newton leaving his mark on the home‘s billiard table.
Mr Comgram said he loved the entire 35 years in the property, and no particular memory stood out.

“There was a series of parties that we had at the house, having the family over from England and just living, enjoying the normal life”, he said.
Mr and Mrs Comgram were also avid local golf club members for nearly 40 years, just metres from their property.
“Hazel had plenty of hole in ones, everything about the place was convenient”, Mr Comgram said.
The property is just 450 metres from Outlook Village Shops, 1.6km from Tewantin Village and 1km to the Noosa marina.

Property agent and homegrown local expert Luke Burton from Harcourts Noosa said the interest in the property was phenomenal, and they‘ve had close to triple the enquiries his agency would typically have on a property.
“It‘s been the number one performer in Tewantin for the past two weeks … we’ve already got four registered bidders nearly a week out from the on-site auction”.
“It‘s a cool retro property that is like stepping back in time.
“There has always been an issue for supply in Noosa Shire.
“I think for entry-level properties, there is a supply issue.

“We live in a part of the world that is quite appealing, and it‘s got handy beaches like Main Beach 13 minutes away.
“I think this auction is going to be the story of a resurgence in the local market”, Mr Burton said.

Mr and Mrs Comgram said they have one wish for the future owners.

According to PropTrack the median house price in Tewantin is $945,000, up 1.1 per cent over the past 12 months.
