We are excited to announce that 15Five has won a prestigious Talent Management HR Tech award from Lighthouse Research & Advisory. For over ten years now, the Lighthouse team has been serving HR, talent, and learning professionals with practical research and advice. The purpose of this award program is to help buyers and employers understand some of the best companies in the industry for technology selection needs.
As part of the application process, we explained the problems that our technology solves, submitted this client Case Study, shared a demo, listed key differentiators, and provided some insights into our unique, people-centric culture. Below are some snippets from the application. And while we are definitely tooting our horn here, we also want to recognize our beloved employees and customers without whom we would not have won.
The problems we solve
Modern organizations are plagued by ineffective management, regrettable turnover, and disengaged employees not hitting performance goals. Here are two examples of the ways that 15Fives help to solve these problems for our customers:
- You may recall that in early 2020, the entire world of work shifted to remote and hybrid. 15Five’s then nascent Transform product, offering live and on-demand training and coaching, was brought in by HR at many organizations to up-skill managers to lead from a distance. This produced business results like reduced turnover and increased engagement to align teams and saves HR time.
- Many organizations use 15Five’s complete HR Tech platform to help stem turnover and improve the employee experience. We shared an example of how a customer used two of our products in tandem to increase retention, by measuring sentiment in a more effective way and flagging potential turnover risks early. Product 1 is Perform, which includes an onboarding tool, weekly check-ins, pulse checks, and performance reviews. Product 2 is Engage, 15Five’s engagement survey product.
In addition to being the pioneer in performance management, being built to drive business impact, revamping the performance review, and offering manager coaching and training, 15Five distinguishes itself in the way that it creates connection in a hybrid/remote work world.
15Five’s mobile app comes with all of the features available on the desktop version and consistently outperforms competitors, evidenced by an average rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars in the Apple App Store, with 5,300 reviews. In contrast, 15Five’s biggest competitor’s apps have average ratings of 2.8 and 2.6 stars. (We also won a Gold Stevie Award for our app this year.)
The company behind the HR Tech
One need look no further than our VP of People, Jennie Yang, to understand the kind of company that 15Five is. Jennie was featured in HR Executive Magazine for being a 2022 HR Rising Star, an honor accorded to only six of a record pool of applicants. She won for leading the development of a compensation philosophy and program designed to attract, motivate, and retain talented employees who are highly engaged and high-performing. A major driver was to ensure that rewards are fair and equitable for all team members.
Additionally, 15Five has led the industry in cutting edge benefits. These include flexible time off, which is untracked but requires hitting performance metrics and goals, 16 weeks of paid parental leave for birth, adoption, or foster care for birth and non-birth parents, military leave, paid sabbatical, and mental health benefits.
To know what benefits people want, 15Five asks directly and has crafted a culture where people are not afraid to speak up and have adequate channels to do so. Many of our benefits came to fruition through the passionate advocacy of employees. As an example, based on what we learned from polling our people, we implemented No Meeting Thursdays company-wide. We encourage people to set aside Thursdays for uninterrupted deep work.
We have many more exciting product developments planned for 2023! Please stay tuned…
